Parking is free of charge in Kenmare. There is a 2-hour restriction on street parking during the day. You may park on the street from 4pm in the afternoon to 11am the following morning.

All car parks are only a 5 min walk from Foley’s Guesthouse.


Shelbourne Street

When you enter Kenmare from R569, you are brought on to Shelbourne Street. This car park is opposite the Garda Station.

Bridge Street

Drive down Henry Street, pass Foley’s Guesthouse on your right. At the junction, turn left on to N71. Passing the square on your right, then the Tourist Office (Red/White building) on your left. Over the small bridge and take the first turning on your left. This car park is on the left.

Holy Cross

This car park is situated near the main square in Kenmare and across the road from The Holy Cross Church. There is a height restriction at the entrance, allowing only vehicles of approximately 2 metres in height to enter

Getting Here...



Buses from the airports connect with the major town of Killarney from which a bus direct to Kenmare can be taken. There is also a daily bus service direct from Cork City to Kenmare via Bandon, Skibbereen and Bantry.

The closest airport to Kenmare is Kerry Airport at Farranfore which is about 50 minutes’ car journey from the town. Cork airport is 80 minutes’ drive away.

The most direct route from the airports is via the N22 road which links Killarney and Cork. Turn off at Loo Bridge for Kenmare on the R569 which is well signposted.
